Shokunin, a Japanese sushi restaurant offering traditional omakase-style courses, is expanding. The eatery is one of the tenants that is listed as coming to new food hall Redlands Public Market, the business’s website advertises.
Guests can expect a dining experience with fresh fish selected daily and prepared by talented chefs. Online, it shows that the menu includes a range of dishes from the “Basic” 10-piece Omakase course to the “Premium” 13-piece Omakase. In addition to the omakase courses, Shokunin also offers sushi favorites such as nigiri, sashimi, hand rolls, and signature rolls.
“At Shokunin, we believe that sushi is not just a meal, but an experience. Each piece is crafted with care and precision, using only the freshest ingredients to take our guests on a culinary journey,” the company told What Now OC. “Our Omakase course is a celebration of the art of sushi, designed to surprise, delight, and leave a lasting impression on every diner.”
A company representative said the brand is currently finishing up construction and is currently applying to obtain an Alcoholic Beverage Control license for beer and wine. They are also actively hiring for servers and sushi chefs.
Shokunin’s Redlands location will be about double the size of its original. That space, inside the Haven City Market in Rancho Cucamonga, opened in 2019 and has been a popular part of that space, which is also a food hall.
