Hit fast casual chain Sweetgreen is heading to the Irvine Spectrum Center. While no opening date is set in stone for the store, it will be located at 714 Spectrum Center Dr.

Sweetgreen, which began in Washington D.C. in 2007, has become a powerhouse in the healthy, fast-casual space. Under the leadership of Co-Founder and CEO Jonathan Neman, the brand has expanded to include more than 150 stores across thirteen states. However, until now, most of the concept’s SoCal focus had been in the greater Los Angeles area.

The menu at Sweetgreen features what the brand terms “fresh, plant-forward, earth friendly food.” An approach that often manifests in warm bowl form, of which a handful of selections that mix proteins, greens, and grains in various flavor profiles are available. To add to the offerings, Sweetgreen provides a selection of salads and composed plates, as well as seasonal, rotating local selection.

Sweetgreen will be in good company at the Irvine Spectrum Center, one of the regions premier dining and shopping destinations and also the home of a few other recently announced restaurants covered on What Now Orange County, including Roll Em Up Taquitos.
