A SoCal franchise group is planning to remodel one of its Taco Bell locations soon, construction records show. The drive-thru store at 2525 Highland Ave. is scheduled for a renovation project and is in the pre-construction phase currently.

Serj Taco California, LLC is the operator behind this location, documents state. VMI Architecture is listed as the architect. The project involves interior and exterior work at the 1,976-square-foot property. Neither returned a request for comment before publication.

The exterior enhancements will include new trim and paint, landscaping updates, and a reconfiguration of the parking lot. Interior upgrades are adding ADA-compliant bathrooms, modern décor, and updated lighting, flooring, signage, and wall coverings.

While it’s unclear if this location’s remodel will be one of them, Taco Bell recently announced that several SoCal stores will rebrand into the Live Más Café concept. Yum Brands describes the spinoff as highlighting specialty beverages and premium coffee offerings.

Serj Taco California also owns several other Taco Bells in the area, including stores in Big Bear, San Bernardino, Grand Terrace, and Twentynine Palms. In Washington and Kansas, the company operates multiple Sonic Drive-In locations.
