Another dining destination will be coming to South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, this time it is Italian restaurant Teatro Angelina, which will be opening at 650 Anton Blvd sometime in 2023.
The project, which will be taking over the old Pizzeria Ortica space right by the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, is a new concept from owner and operator Filippo Fusco, the same man behind Orange County Italian hits Bottega Angelina and Angelina’s Pizzeria.
While details are still scant on the exact nature of the Teatro Angelina concept, Fusco’s sensibilities seem perfectly suited for the elegant and refined space. Known for finely crafted food and impeccable design, Bottega Angelina and Angelina’s Pizza have both become iconic establishments. Both feature a selection of traditional antipasti, handmade pasta, wood fired pizza, and composed entrees, so look out for a similar theme at Teatro.
The final, and arguably headlining, 2023 addition to the South Coast Plaza dining scene, Teatro Angelina will be joining Calo Kitchen + Tequila and Ramen Nagi at one of Orange Counties premier shopping and dining destinations
