The Pendry Hotel, a new luxury dining, shopping, and resort destination is coming to Newport Beach. The hotel is set to debut at 690 Newport Center Dr, formerly the site of the iconic Fashion Island Hotel, sometime this summer.
The Pendry brand was founded by father and son team Alan and John Fuerstman to be the sleek younger sibling to the elder Fuerstman’s Montage Hotels and Resorts empire. Over the last decade, Pendry has become a major player in the new luxury space. Known for their meticulous design and elegant offerings, Pendry currently operates nine hotels in prime tourism locals across the country,
The Newport Beach iteration of the Pendry Hotel will be under the leadership of General Manager David Hoffman, who has been overseeing locations of Montage for the last twenty-years and before that was at the Four Season righty here in Newport.
While Hoffman was unable to provide comment at this time about the extent and diversity of the dining options that will be available onsite, we can report that their plans include a buildout for a flagship lobby restaurant for which the brand has filed permits with the city.
