Zhiguan, a new concept, has filed an alcohol license for a location in Irvine. While it’s not exactly clear when the team plans to open at 5510 Trabuco Road, it should be sometime in the new year.

In a brief conversation with What Now Orange County, owner Tingyee Hau described the concept as “a simple club.” The sort of place where people can relax with beer, wine, and some snacks.

While Hau was unable to provide more details at this time, reader’s understanding of the project might be enhanced by knowing that its name, Zhiguan, in modern Chinese usage generally means to stop or observe. Perhaps this spirit of pause will be embodied by the space Hau is creating.

Zhiguan will be located in a prime Irvine location, near a plethora of local business, malls, and restaurants.
