L3Harris to Lay off Employees from Orlando Laser Facility
On February 27, L3Harris Technologies filed a WARN notice tied to its agreement to sell the Advanced Laser Systems Technology (ALST) facility to Perimeter Solutions. A change in ownership of the facility located at 2500 North Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 34744, will affect its employees.
Effective from April 30, 2026, and within 14 days thereafter, 63 employees will be laid off. The official L3Harris 2026 document contains a detailed breakdown of job titles and the number of employees affected.
Perimeter Solutions is actively recruiting and has expressed interest in hiring some current employees. The company also held a meeting with ALST employees on January 6, 2026, and is expected to continue the process at the current site.
