I will have authentic ltalian Pastries, Italian American Pastries, Italian Cookies, Cinnamon Rolls, Cannolis and possibly some bread!! I hope you follow me on my journey and my dream!!”

Launching at 2002 S Harbor City Blvd, Baked by Chelle will join nearby restaurants and bars like Hell ‘n Blazes Brewing Company and Eve La Cubanita, bringing a bit of the sweet side of Italian and Italian-American cuisine to the intersection with East New Haven Avenue.

What Now reached out to owner Michelle Franzen to ask about plans for the Baked by Chelle Opening on Monday. Franzen was not immediately available for comment at this time.

Another recent Instagram post shows Franzen taking possession of the space and working on renovations, with comments showing buzz growing about the Baked by Chelle opening.

“We can’t wait,” says a comment by the 1900 Building, which is situated just across New Haven Avenue.

“Amazing and well deserved!!” says another comment. A third adds, “Congratulations!!! So proud of you!!”
