Chicharron Grill, a Puerto Rican concept led by acclaimed Chef Roberto Treviño, will soon be opening in Orlando, according to State of Florida records. The restaurant will be located at 3801 Avalon Park, within the Avalon Park Marketplace.

“We will have the corner space closest to the door, alongside some 8-9 other concepts,” Co-Owner Ricardo Garcia tells What Now Orlando.

“We will be the single Hispanic presence there. We will be working with Roberto Treviño, of Food Network fame. He’s had many successful ventures in Puerto Rico and now we’ll be working together, here in Orlando. He’ll actually be VP of this project”

When asked about the menu, Mr. Garcia says “The menu is a traditional boricua concept, influenced by Chef Treviño, such as mofongo, chicharron, pork empanadas, shrimp empanadas, freshly squeezed juice tamarind and passion fruit. We’ll have a vegan selection too.”

Until Chicharron Grill opens its door, those curious about Chef Treviño’s work can watch his creativity in action on The Next Iron Chef: Redemption (Season 5).
