Pastor Dexter Sanders plans to take up the restaurant business by opening up Dexter’s Original Birdland in the historic City View Apartments building in Parramore, on 595 W. Church St.

The restaurant is inspired by a restaurant in Rochester, NY called Sal’s Birdland that Sanders grew up with. Sal’s is known for its seasoned jumbo wings and “plates” featuring ribs, burgers and sides like macaroni and cheese and potato wedges.

Dexter’s Original Birdland, is set to have a similar, all-American menu featuring chicken wings, sandwiches, ribs as well as sides like macaroni salad and baked beans.

The space on 595 W. Church St is about 3,000-square-feet. According to What Now Orlando’s real estate intel, Sanders plans for this downtown location to be the first of many restaurants.
