Ubiquitous cookie crake brand Great American Cookies is returning to Orlando with a new expansion plan, according to a recent press release. The first will be located at 4955 International Dr., within Unit 1C, a conversion from a Nestle Toll House Café.

“We are beyond excited for Great American Cookies to re-enter the Orlando market and offer our signature Cookie Cakes and Cookies to the community once again,” Allison Lauenstein, president of the QSR division at FAT Brands Inc., said in the release. “Our brand has a rich history of creating memorable moments with our freshly baked Cookie Cakes, and we can’t wait to continue that tradition in Orlando.”

Cookie production — for GAC and other FAT brands — seems to be a key priority for the company, who intend to put their Atlanta-based manufacturing facility to maximum use.

“One [strategy] is rolling out the cookies and pretzel program across as many of our brands as we can,” CEO Andy Wiederhorn said during the company’s Q2 earnings call last Thursday. “That’s going to see an uptick in utilization over the coming rest of the year. Plus, we also have this 1,100-store pipeline, and many of those new restaurants will be selling cookies and pretzels, so that’s going to chew up a bunch of capacity as those restaurants open.”

Great American Cookies operates 400 bakeries around the world. Locations and opening dates for the upcoming Orlando outposts have not been announced.
