The Colombian coffee brand, Juan Valdez Café, will soon be opening a location in Kissimmee, according to a recent filing with the State of Florida. The restaurant will be located at 15280 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, near the Disney parks and its many corresponding hotels. This is a notable location considering that it is guaranteed a heavy flow of tourist traffic and, considering the amount of nearby shopping, it is almost certain that shoppers will be constantly stopping in for a cup of coffee.
Despite the global relevance of the coffee brand, Juan Valdez Café—the actual brick-and-mortar restaurants serving the brand’s coffee and other products—are actually rare, with only three existing locations, all of which are in Florida.
At the café, readers can expect a standard coffee shop offering of both hot and cold drinks, espresso or drip-based, but with a South American array of snack offerings such as empanadas, tequeños, and pan dulce, along with other standard coffee shop pastries found in the US and Europe.
What Now Orlando reached out to Vanely Coronado, Franchise Administrator for the brand, to inquire about potential opening dates, but she was not immediately able to provide information.
