According to a recent report in OBJ, a restaurant provisionally named “Cardaci Pizza” has been proposed for 42 W. Plant St.

The applicant for the request is Drew Cardaci who—alongside his brother, David Cardaci— run the 129 W. Plant St. location of Fort Lauderdale-based Mexican restaurant chain The Whole Enchilada.

“David Cardaci confirmed the plans in an email to OBJ, noting the name Cardaci Pizza is a placeholder and that the group is considering AJ’s Pizza for the concept’s name, but will make a final decision as it gets closer to construction,” the report states.

“The restaurant wants to renovate the storefront and intends to re-open the space as a new pizza place with an accordion-style storefront that folds, according to city documents.”

No updates on the project’s status and potential timeline have been announced.
