Teriyaki Madness is bringing its popular Asian fusion fare — “real food, made-to-order, with fresh, high quality ingredients, that makes you feel like a million bucks and satisfies your craving,” according to its website — to Melbourne.

The chain, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, specializes in teriyaki bowls, appetizers and sides. Teriyaki Madness was founded in 2003 and currently has franchise agreements for some 150 locations in the U.S., including three in the Greater Orlando area.

A company statement says, “Our love affair began in Seattle. Yes, the magical city by the sea, where you can find everything from grunge rock to a coffee shop on just about every corner. This is where we discovered the delicious secret of Authentic, Seattle Teriyaki. Some people say you can take the sea out of Seattle, but you can’t take out the teriyaki. Well, our Japanese restaurant franchise has proved them wrong.”

Rod Arreola, CEO and co-founder of Teriyaki Madness told fastcasual.com that consumers are responding to the concept because it offers “healthy, fresh, flavorful” food.

“People are tired of burgers and fries,” he said.

In addition to this Melbourne location that is under construction, the Teriyaki Madness website says two other locations are “coming soon” to the Greater Orlando area. They are in Winter Haven and Windermere but addresses are not listed.
