What is beer if not the gnarliest form of barley?! The Gnarly Barley, a beloved brewery and sandwich shop that’s been serving the Belle Isle community for the past nine years through its location on 7431 S Orange Ave, is moving.

“In the last 9 years we’ve outgrown our space 3 times over and milked every ounce of energy our little shack on S Orange Avenue has had to give,” they announced this past March through an Instagram post.

When What Now Orlando talked to a representative from their current location, we were told that their new location “will still be a beer bar and sandwich shop” but that with the bigger location “there’s going to be [room for] some re-branding” as well as some “new items on the menu.”

They do not have an exact opening date for the new location yet, as things are still under construction, but they did announce a farewell party that will take place on the 19th of June, 2021 from 4:00 pm to midnight for one last hurrah before moving. Tyler Crane will be playing music, and there will be kegs and tacos.

Follow them on Instagram for updates on their new location.
