bb.q Chicken has opened its first location at 305 E Thomas Road. The store features the brand’s popular menu items and bring a part of Korean culture with it.

The brand is known for its Korean-style fried chicken, which is prepared by hand-battering the chicken. It is fried at lower temperatures for a longer time, which helps create an especially crispy texture while keeping the meat juicy.

To celebrate the opening of the new store, bb.q Chicken is hosting a grand event on May 30, 2026. It will offer free tastings of its crispy Korean fried chicken and other fan-favorite K-foods. Guests who are 21+ can also sample beer and soju and take part in other fun activities.

The brand is also closely tied to Korean food culture, especially chimaek. This is a traditional Korean pairing of fried chicken with beer.

About bb.q Chicken

bb.q Chicken is owned by the BBQ Group, which has expanded to thousands of locations in more than 50 countries. It benefited from the growing global popularity of Korean culture through K-dramas and the wider Korean Wave. Its popularity also comes from past endorsements by BTS and menu collaborations with brands like Buldak ramen.

The “bb.q” in its name stands for “Best of the Best Quality” rather than barbeque. It started in South Korea in 1995 and has expanded globally.

The new opening reflects the continued global expansion of bb.q Chicken. The new location brings a new dining experience to Phoenix to try out the globally loved fried chicken.
