Tacos Chilango’s Quesotacos and Machetes are coming soon to Buckeye! The Avondale taqueria will open a second location at 19425 W. Indian School Road, next to the newly opened Ebb & Flow Coffee Company in Verrado.
Friends and business partners Juan Ortiz and Arturo Jimenez look forward to opening their second location by the end of August, if all goes according to plan. Chilango, meaning “Something belonging to Mexico City,” is the inspiration behind the family-owned taqueria.
Ortiz and Jimenez bring more than 50 combined years in hospitality to the table, aiming to enrich the West Valley with the flavors of their hometown. Tacos Chilango’s menu is made with authentic recipes that best showcase the emotive food of Mexico City.
In addition to classic offerings such as Carne Asada and Carnitas, Tacos Chilango serves up Mexico City specialties such as Campechano, Suadero, and Al Pastor. The meats are grilled fresh daily over mesquite wood to add a touch of Arizona flair.
At Tacos Chilango, many foods are made the day they are used. From house-made Longaniza (a Mexico City-style chorizo) to artisanal Nixtamal Corn and Sonoran Flour Tortillas made locally by La Tortilla Spot, you can bet that your meal is made with the freshest high-quality ingredients.
The new Buckeye restaurant will be extra special in that they will have a full sit-down bar. Tacos Chilango hopes to share the joys of Mezcal and Michelada with West Valley locals with their expanded menu of margaritas and beers.
The West Valley clearly has a lot to look forward to at its newest taqueria later this summer. For updates, follow @tacos.chilango on Instagram and visit tacoschilango.com for more information.
