Bad Jimmy’s, a local burger and cocktail concept that started as a pop-up, is preparing to open two new locations in Phoenix this year.
The company, owned and operated by James Piazza, currently has one location at 108 E Pierce Street, which opened in 2023. Now, by the end of the year, there will be three locations in the Valley, according to AZ Central. Bad Jimmy’s will start by opening a new location in Scottsdale at 7620 E. Indian School Road, Suite 101, in the former home of Starlite BBQ. The company’s second location is set to open in March 2025. After this, Bad Jimmy’s will open a third location in the Cock N’ Tail space at 6101 N. Seventh Street by the end of the year, although an exact opening date has yet to be determined.
When the company expands for the first time, customers will notice that the layout will be different but will have the same aesthetics and menu, meaning plenty of highballs, soft serve, smash burgers, and daily specials and wings. Piazza tells AZ Central that once the company has all the locations up and running, Bad Jimmy’s will add a barbecue program and wings to the daily menu.
This is a massive accomplishment for Piazza, who launched this concept as a pop-up during the pandemic. It didn’t take long before his smash burgers were established as some of the best in Phoenix, and for good reason. All burgers are made with 100 percent Arizona-raised K4 Ranch premium beef. The company’s only location is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, closed on Tuesdays, and open until Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
