Bobazona in Peoria is currently under construction at 20255 N. Lake Pleasant Road. Look out for it in the Bashas’-anchored shopping center on the northeast corner of Lake Pleasant and Beardsley Roads this summer.
Owner Youssef Bastawy confirmed with What Now Phoenix that the projected opening for the Peoria store is in June, barring any delays from the cosmetic tenant improvements currently underway at this space. The family-owned business was founded in 2020 with their first shop in Goodyear.
Bastawy says that the Black Sugar Latte, Guava Jasmine Tea, and Mango Prickly Pear Refresher are all must-tries at their shop, “but really any of our drinks are certified crowd pleasers.” Bobazona also serves delicious gelato from Villa Dolce Gelato Italiano.
Bastawy’s plans for expansion don’t stop with Peoria. He also tells us that there is a location underway in downtown Verrado by the Bashas’ and CVS. An exact address for the Verrado store is still to be determined but it should be up and running by 2023.
