Brews Burger Joint, a locally owned gourmet burger and craft beer concept, is exploring plans for a third location in the East Valley, building on its growing presence in Chandler.
Co-owner Justin Coupe tells What Now Phoenix that while no location has been finalized, the team is actively looking to expand. Brews currently operates two locations in Chandler and has been steadily building a loyal following since first opening in 2017. Known for its signature burgers and rotating local beer taps, Brews has established itself as a casual go-to spot for quality food and neighborhood hospitality.
The original location, situated on Alma School Road, will celebrate its sixth anniversary this November. In May 2024, Brews opened its second Chandler location on Ray Road by acquiring and renovating the former Hop Central Taphouse, adding a kitchen to the space. Both spots reflect the brand’s commitment to laid-back dining with a strong focus on local ingredients and community engagement.
Coupe tells What Now Phoenix that the process of opening a third Brews location has been delayed as the team’s attention has shifted to the recent debut of its newest concept, Morning Jam. Located in the same plaza as Brews’ Alma School location, Morning Jam is a breakfast and lunch spot infused with upbeat ’80s and ’90s tunes, retro-diner aesthetics, and a playful comfort-food menu. It opened earlier this year in the former Brekky Brunch space at Alma School and Germann in south Chandler.
Brews Burger Joint’s menu includes over a dozen specialty burgers made with Certified Hereford Beef, along with appetizers like Birria Rolls, Tater Skins, cheese curds, and soft pretzels with housemade beer cheese. Guests can also enjoy 24 to 36 rotating beer taps, depending on the location, plus happy hour specials and a rotating Burger of the Month. These are all highlights that customers can expect when a new location opens.
