Clive Collective, the group behind Neon Spur, Cala, and Tell Your Friends, is getting ready to open five new concepts this year in the greater Phoenix area.

The restaurant group was founded by hospitality veterans Justin Massei and Mikis Troyan, who are now planning to open five new restaurant concepts across the Phoenix metro area, according to AZ Central. The group is known for operating several popular venues within the Valley. Chef Beau MacMillan serves as director of culinary operations and is a partner in the group.

Kuza will move into the former home of Chauncey Social and is scheduled to open in late August or early September 2025 at 17767 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 100, in Scottsdale. The restaurant will focus on Japanese robata-style cooking with dishes prepared over coal in front of diners. The menu will include items such as udon bowls, ramen, sashimi, wagyu beef, as well as a variety of grilled seafood and vegetables.

Three additional restaurants will open at 801 N. First Avenue in downtown Phoenix, within the historic Stoddard-Harmon bungalow. The first of these, Ada, is expected to open in late January 2026 and will serve coastal American seafood. The restaurant will feature both indoor and outdoor seating, along with a complete cocktail program.

Located next to Ada, Love Call will open during the same period in late January 2026. The bar will operate as a small, circular neighborhood-style lounge. It will be situated within the same historic bungalow property as Ada.

The third concept at that location, Kuza Tori, is set to open in February 2026. It will focus on Japanese street food and operate as a more casual version of Kuza. The restaurant will be accessible through a rear alley entrance.

Cala 2 is scheduled to open in 2026 at 4568 E. Cactus Road in Phoenix, as part of the Paradise Valley Mall redevelopment. It will expand on the original Cala concept with adjustments to the menu and dining experience. A 1,000-square-foot connected space called Calitta will serve as an event venue with a DJ booth, perfect for weekend gatherings.

“Cala has been everything for us,” Massei tells AZ Central. “It’s been received well by our customers. For Cala 2, we want to take what’s worked well and tweak other things. Beau is working to elevate that menu.”
