Chase Field has finally landed on a replacement for Friday’s Front Row. In case you haven’t heard yet, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers is moving into Chase Field’s upper deck, along with a pared down version of its sister concept, Bourbon & Bones.
The two restaurants are owned by Scottsdale-based Square One Concepts, Inc., who also operate Famous 48, Wasted Grain and The Funky Monk, plus a few restaurants in San Diego, California. Out of all their concepts, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers is a no-brainer when it comes to serving hungry D-backs fans on game days.
The menu will be available seven days a week, so customers can visit this new location even if there isn’t a baseball game happening at the stadium. “There is no other place in the Valley where one can meet up with family or friends any day of the week to enjoy items from our scratch-made kitchen, as well as drinks, with a view of a major league ballpark,” Square One Concepts CEO S. Barrett Rinzler said in a press release.
What Now Phoenix reached out to Rinzler this week for further comment. He told us that Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers is scheduled to open around the All-Star break this summer. It will be followed by sister concept Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge. Though both restaurants are taking over the former Friday’s Front Row space, they will remain separate with the former taking up the main dining room and a majority of the patio.
“We will have a smaller section with its own entrance that will be the Bourbon & Bones Cocktail Lounge portion. It will be an elevated experience with craft cocktails and small plates made for sharing. It will also be used for events and parties,” Rinzler said. That said, renovations are likely already underway in order for these plans to materialize. Stay tuned.
