Curries Indian Kitchen & Bar, a family-owned Indian restaurant with locations in Yuma and Scottsdale, is getting ready to open in Scottsdale at 10434 E Jomax Road.
The company’s third location is set to move into a space that was the former home of Darcy’s Ristorante, according to a recent liquor license application. While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, permit filings show the restaurant is in the process of securing a Series 12 liquor license, which would allow on-site alcohol service. Guests can expect a full-service experience with indoor and patio dining available.
Curries Indian Kitchen first opened in Yuma and expanded to a second location in Palo Verde Square in Scottsdale. The Jomax Road location marks the brand’s continued growth in the Valley. Based on public records, the restaurant will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will occupy approximately 4,500 square feet inside, with an additional 720-square-foot patio.
The new location complies with all restaurant liquor license requirements, including a fully equipped kitchen and appropriate layout, according to city records. No objections were raised by city staff or law enforcement during the license review process. The location is near residential communities and commercial developments, making it a potentially strong fit for local demand.
The menu will feature traditional Indian dishes, including butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, biryani, and samosas, alongside vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. Curries also offers a variety of naan, rice dishes, and beverages like mango lassi and masala chai.
Founded by the Chintalapudi family, Curries has grown by focusing on authentic recipes, warm service, and accessible pricing. The Jomax Road expansion reflects their goal of reaching more customers across the Phoenix metro area.
