Dave & Buster’s is expanding into the East Valley! Construction began this month at Queen Creek Marketplace next to Kohl’s, where Dave & Buster’s plans for a grand opening in spring of 2023.
Known for serving great food, drinks, and fun for all ages, Dave & Buster’s will be one of the most anticipated openings next year. “Dave & Buster’s is synonymous with having fun and it has been one of the most highly requested concepts among our customers for years. We are confident that Dave & Buster’s is the perfect complement to our already stellar tenant mix,” says Queen Creek Marketplace representative Angie Kory in a press release.
The 19,000-square foot restaurant and entertainment space will feature plenty of virtual reality and classic arcade games, plus televisions for sports and other entertainment. From cheeseburgers and wings, to fire-grilled salmon and BBQ ribs, there is something for every appetite, as well as a full bar and non-alcoholic beverages.
Back in the late ‘70s, a man named Buster operated a restaurant known for great food and friendly service. A few doors down, another man named Dave operated an entertainment and games venue that locals frequented for a fun time.
After the neighbors realized that their patrons rotated between their establishments, they decided to combine their businesses. They took over a 40,000-square foot warehouse and decided on the new name with a coin toss. In December 1982, the first Dave & Buster’s was opened in Dallas, Texas.
Today, there are more than 140 corporate-owned locations across North America, with opportunities to franchise internationally. This will be the fourth Dave & Buster’s location in the Valley, and the fifth Arizona location overall. For more information, visit www.daveandbusters.com.
