DEPWAH, a French-Vietnamese restaurant blending soulful cuisine with fine dining flair, is set to open this winter in Old Town Scottsdale at 7050 E 3rd Ave, Suite 1, near the intersection of Third Avenue and Goldwater Boulevard.
The new concept will occupy a multi-level space featuring a rooftop lounge, an espresso bar with an elevated café menu, and a main dining room and bar, according to KTAR. Designed to nourish from sunrise to late night, DEPWAH’s offerings will span breakfast through evening service, catering to a range of dietary preferences. Expect Vietnamese soul and French finesse served in a setting meant to inspire connection and mindfulness.
“DEPWAH is a soulful Vietnamese-French restaurant in Scottsdale, where bold flavors meet timeless elegance,” the company said online. “Rooted in tradition and refined with intention, our menu spans breakfast to late night, offering nourishment for both body and spirit. Designed with warm woods, soft greens, and gentle light, DEPWAH invites you to slow down, connect, and leave more inspired than you arrived.”
Cafe Program Director Maurice Murillo will oversee the daytime beverage offerings, which include espresso drinks, artisanal matcha, and specialty teas. The cocktail menu will be curated by Sheldon Wiley, a three-time Guinness World Record-holding mixologist and founder of Cocktail Customs.
Interior design is led by John Sofio of Built Inc., with Kathleen O’Mara (formerly of Prime Steak Concepts) heading operations. A lead chef is expected to be announced soon. Stay tuned for an official opening date and additional details as DEPWAH prepares to debut this winter.
“DEPWAH is a part of me,” founder Heather Walker said in a release. “It carries my culture, my vision, and my heart as a mother. I created this space not just to serve food, but to hold people. To remind them of beauty, of intention, of something sacred. It’s Vietnamese and French on the surface, but at its core, it’s soul food for every part of you.”
DEPWAH is part of a new development in Old Town Scottsdale that’s actively seeking elevated retail concepts. The restaurant will join a neighborhood that includes The Clotherie, Champagne Bar, and Italian Furniture Showroom, adding to the area’s growing reputation for upscale and design-forward businesses.
