A new hot dog joint, El Yori Hot Dogs and Grill, will be coming soon to Mesa. El Yori is a house of authentic Sonora hot dogs, and is tagged on Facebook as a fast food, Mexican restaurant.
A Sonora hot dog is a style that originates from Sonora, Mexico, and as you probably already know, it’s a Phoenix specialty.
Sonora hot dogs consist of a dog wrapped in bacon and grilled, served on bolillo-style hot dog bun, and topped with an array of condiments, from onions tomatoes, and pinto beans, to mayo, mustard, and jalapeno salsa.
As recently as April 27th, a post was made to the El Yori’s Facebook page saying “very soon we will be working at our location: 753 S Alma School Road, STE 5, in Mesa.”
At the time of this article, owner Celsa Figueroa was unavailable for comment.
