Lin’s Grand Buffet, an Arizona-based buffet chain offering a wide selection of Asian and American dishes, is getting ready to expand in Mesa at an 8,684-square-foot building at 1017 E Baseline Rd.

The company’s newest location is set to move into a long-vacant building near Baseline Road and Cooper Road, just west of Jason’s Deli, which is the former home of Fiesta Mexicana, according to East Valley Now. While an exact opening date has not been announced, the sale was finalized for $3.3 million. Based on Lin’s nearby presence at Ellsworth and Southern, the Mesa location appears to be a strategic step in building density in the East Valley.

Lin’s Grand Buffet was founded in 2002 and currently operates more than a dozen locations across Arizona, Texas, and California. The brand is known for affordable buffet-style dining and a wide-ranging menu, serving customers in areas such as Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, Casa Grande, and Murrieta, California. This will be the company’s fourth location in the Greater Phoenix area.

The Mesa acquisition ends years of vacancy at the property, which had remained inactive despite its visibility and proximity to major intersections. The investment by Lin’s signals confidence in local demand for high-capacity, family-oriented dining options and continued growth in the surrounding retail corridor.

The brand’s menu includes a combination of Chinese-American staples and comfort foods, including dishes like beef and broccoli, orange chicken, fried fish, and Mongolian-style barbecue. Combo meals and family-style portions are available for both dine-in and takeout, along with appetizers such as dumplings, wings, and spring rolls.

With a format that focuses on value, variety, and high volume, Lin’s is well-positioned to attract both residents and buffet-seeking diners from nearby neighborhoods. Additional details on the Mesa opening are expected in the coming months.
