Jimmy John’s, a fast-growing chain restaurant with locations nationwide, is preparing to expand significantly throughout Phoenix.
The new locations are the latest from Walters Boys LLC, led by Jeff Walters and his wife Kelly, along with their sons Nick and Zack and Jeff’s brother, Ken, and his family. The franchise group will start by opening a new location in Phoenix on Tuesday, January 29th, at 678 E Thunderbird, Suite B, in the Moon Valley Center. The restaurant will be open from 10 am to 9 pm for full service sit down, take out, and offer delivery in the area. This is just the beginning for the franchise group.
After this, Walters Boys LLC plans to open five additional locations in the West Valley. Three are expected to open this year, and another two are scheduled for next year. In mid-May 2025, the franchise group plans to open a new Jimmy John’s in Buckeye at I-10 and Verrado Way, home to the Verrado Marketplace. The franchise group will also open another new location in Surprise at Bell Road and Citrus. Then, in October 2025, the group will open a new location in Peoria at 67th and Happy Valley.
In 2026, the franchise group plans to open two locations in Surprise. The first, at the corner of Cactus and Sarival, is scheduled to open in January 2026. The second, at the Asante Trails development at 163rd and Pat Tillman, is expected to open in March 2026. Once all these locations open, Walters Boys LLC will have nine locations in Phoenix.
This is a massive achievement for the franchise group, considering they had tried to open a franchise while they were in Washington state, but it never panned out. However, that dream finally came true when, in August 2019, the franchise group purchased two Jimmy John’s in Glendale at 7708 W Bell Road, Suite 105, and 18589 N 59th Avenue, Suite 106. In September 2022, the group opened a new location in Buckeye at 19550 W Indian School. Now, the family focuses on growing Jimmy Johns’ presence in West Valle, with at least six locations over the next two years.
