A brand new sports bar concept called Mug N Shot is making its debut in Downtown Gilbert, located at 100 N. Gilbert Rd.

This is the newest restaurant from HL Concepts, founded by chef Hyunwook Lee. Mug N Shot will move into the former home of 100 North Bar & Kitchen on the south edge of downtown Gilbert, according to Mouth by Southwest. The new sports bar is scheduled to open around mid-April 2023. HL Concepts is also working on opening a new restaurant called Jin Jia at Desert Ridge Marketplace and a new location of Sizzle Korean BBQ in the Arrowhead Towne Center. This is the same group that is behind Nori and Shinbay.

This will be an excellent location for the new sports bar, considering there’s a limited amount of bars in this area of downtown Gilbert. Mug N Shot has the potential to become the go-to spot for anyone visiting the Gilbert Community Center, Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, or The Art House Gilbert. The exact style of this new sports bar is unclear, but HL Concepts is known for creating upscale Asian-inspired restaurants that take pride in their one-of-a-kind hospitality.

“HL Concepts was established in 2013 with a focus on uncompromising quality in a comfortable, yet sophisticated setting,” according to the company’s website. “Each of our dining experiences is unique, authentic, and remarkable in every sense of the word. Throughout the ages, food continues to bring us together. Developed by serial restaurateur & master chef Hyunwook Lee, our mission is to make high-quality, authentic Asian cuisine assessable to all.”
