New York Butcher Shoppe is set to make its Arizona debut this fall. Construction is underway on a 2,491-square foot space at 28325 N. Tatum Blvd. in Cave Creek, where the butcher shop and restaurant will neighbor 3 Regions Vietnamese Kitchen.

Kardakh Natto is the franchise operator of New York Butcher Shoppe’s first Arizona location. He tells What Now Phoenix that he anticipates opening in October, if all goes according to plan. At New York Butcher Shoppe, customers can select their own cut of beef, chicken, pork, veal, lamb, or fish, then have it prepared on-site to enjoy with a selection of freshly made sides.

The Cave Creek store will also have a smoker for items like brisket and ribs, as well as a wine section and a selection of imported products. Eventually, they might implement a dining room space for customers to be able to enjoy their food right away.

This will be the first New York Butcher Shoppe in the Southwestern United States. In 1999, founder Billy D’Elia relocated from Brooklyn, New York to Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. It wasn’t long before D’Elia noticed a lack of quality full-service butcher shops like he had back home.

With his previous experience in the trade, D’Elia established New York Butcher Shoppe, where South Carolina locals became enamored with the high-quality meats and customer service. The brand began franchising in 2006 and now boasts locations throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida and Alabama.
