Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, a renowned Texas-based fine dining establishment, is preparing to open a new location in Gilbert at 1835 S. Santan Village Pkwy., R1 Parcel Building.
The company’s first Arizona location is set to be a part of Northside at SanTan Village, a new development just north of the SanTan Village shopping center. This is the latest from the Perry Restaurants Hospitality Group, which is also responsible for Perry & Sons Market & Grille, Carve American Grille, and Verdad True Modern Mexican. Set to open in early 2026, the restaurant will accommodate up to 350 guests with details of glass, lighting, and a breadth of textures to create an air of modern elegance and comfort that is sure to welcome our new community.
This is a massive accomplishment for the company. Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille was founded by Bob Perry in 1979 as a modest butcher shop in Houston. In 1986, his son Chris Perry added dining tables to the shop, turning it into a local favorite. The first official Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille opened in 1993, combining high-quality meats with a fine dining experience. Today, the brand operates 21 locations across Texas and several other states, including Illinois, Florida, and Colorado.
Perry’s is best known for its seven-finger-high “Famous Pork Chop,” slow-smoked and carved tableside. USDA Prime steaks, tableside service, and flaming desserts such as Bananas Foster are also part of the experience. The menu reflects the brand’s roots in butcher-quality meats and traditional preparation methods. Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille has received multiple industry honors. In 2025, the Grapevine, Texas location was voted “Best Steakhouse” by Southlake Style Readers’ Choice Awards. Several locations earned OpenTable Diners’ Choice Awards in 2024. The brand continues to gain national recognition for both food quality and service.
