Pier 88 Boiling Seafood & Bar is planning a restaurant at 4040 E. Bell Road in North Phoenix, with a new restaurant liquor license application listed by the City of Phoenix. The address previously housed a Village Inn.
Xiong Feng Chiu is listed as the owner for the new location. An opening date has not yet been announced.
The floor plan submitted with the application shows a 4,400-square-foot restaurant with booth and table seating, a kitchen, and a designated liquor storage area. The application indicates that the restaurant will not have a patio.
The concept already operates two restaurants in the Phoenix area: one at 10040 W. McDowell Road in Avondale and another at 945 N. Dobson Road in Mesa.
Pier 88 serves Cajun-style seafood boils alongside fried seafood baskets, po’boys, and a full bar. Its signature Famous Low Country Boil includes snow crab legs, shrimp, sausage, a boiled egg, corn, and potato.
The chain’s menu also lists crawfish, clams, mussels, king crab legs, and lobster tails among its boiled seafood options. Fried selections include catfish, shrimp, oysters, and fish and chips. Those offerings reflect the chain’s existing menu; details specific to the Bell Road restaurant have not been confirmed.
