A brand new restaurant called Plush Kitchen and Lounge is getting ready to make its debut in Phoenix at 711 S. Central Avenue.

The new concept will take over the former home of El Chino Taqueria Y Cantina later this year, though an exact opening date has yet to be announced. Plush Kitchen and Lounge is co-owned by Charles Fulton and Jasmyne Rogers, according to a recent liquor license application. The space is currently under construction, with completion expected by June 1. While specific menu or concept details have not yet been released, the restaurant is anticipated to bring a fresh new experience to the downtown Phoenix dining scene.

This will be an excellent location for the new concept. The property is a fully built-out restaurant and bar featuring an open ceiling design, food serving line, and two glass roll-up doors that open onto an outdoor patio, according to details from Loopnet. The space also includes two walk-in coolers and is located directly on Central Avenue. The site spans nearly an acre and features 4,558 square feet of gross leasable area. Notably, it’s located directly across the street from a future light rail station, further enhancing accessibility for both neighborhood locals and visitors alike.

The building, originally constructed in 1975, has been updated to provide a more modern and inviting dining experience. The open kitchen comes equipped with full prep and cooking stations to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Two glass roll-up doors open up to a spacious outdoor patio, giving guests the option to dine inside or out. With a flexible layout and fresh new vibe, Plush Kitchen and Lounge is set to become a go-to spot once it opens.
