Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana is gearing up to debut another downtown Phoenix location at the CityScape shopping center along 2 E. Jefferson St., according to a recently issued liquor license at this address. This would be the fourth location for the Valley pizza chain, known for its authentic Neapolitan pizzas.

Pomo was founded by Stefano Fabbri, whose passion for Italian cuisine and lifelong connection to the restaurant industry eventually led him to open his own restaurant upon moving to Phoenix from Italy in 2009. The following year, he debuted the first Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana in the Scottsdale Borgata.

That location has since relocated to its current outpost at downtown Phoenix on First Street, while additional locations have opened at Scottsdale’s Gainey Village and Biltmore. Fabbri could not be reached for comment on the upcoming CityScape restaurant.

In any case, we can look forward to more Pomo pizzas, made with a slow-rising sourdough created from highly refined organic wheat flour imported from Naples. The pizzas are formed by hand to a precise thickness before they are baked in a hand-built oven made with pressed bricks and volcanic sand from Southern Italy.
