According to city of Mesa public records, Sakura Sushi is coming soon to 1545 S. Power Road by the Target off westbound Highway 60. A permit was issued late last year for Suite 116 to undergo interior remodeling of the dining area, service counter, and kitchen.
These upgrades include installation of a brand new Type 1 hood in place of a pizza oven that used to be in the space. Representatives for Sakura Sushi tell What Now Phoenix that the project is due to reach completion in around three months, so expect an opening this summer.
There is currently a Sakura Sushi in Ahwatukee on Elliot Road, where customers can’t get enough of the Yellow Tail Nigiri, Las Vegas Special Roll, Tuna Roll and Shrimp Tempura. The owner of Sakura Sushi could not be reached for comment. We will post an update if gain more information.
