Seafood City Supermarket, a grocery store chain with a handful of restaurant options within the market, is getting ready to make its Arizona debut next year in Chandler at 3177 Chandler Village Dr.

The company’s newest location is set to move into the upper level of the former Sears store on the southwest side of the Chandler Fashion Center, according to Phoenix Business Journal. The other half of the former retailer will belong to Round1 Bowling & Arcade, a Japanese-based multi-entertainment chain. The company’s newest location will be 65,000 square feet, which is significantly bigger than the latest location the company opened in Hawaii in August and is expected to open sometime next year.

“As a culinary haven for food lovers, we’re ecstatic to present an unparalleled selection of Filipino and pan-Asian ingredients and fast-food dishes,” Elewin Rebaya, the executive vice president of Seafood City, said in a statement. “From traditional spices and sauces to savory delights like adobo and lechon kawali, as well as sweet treats like halo-halo and ensaymada, we’re here to fulfill every craving.”

When Seafood City Supermarket opens next year, customers can expect various Asian grocery items, including an array of Filipino and other Asian groceries, including seafood, hard-to-find fruits and vegetables, and baked goods. While this will be an excellent place to find uncommon grocery items, especially from Asian regions, Seafood City Supermarket will also have several restaurant offerings within the Chandler store. There will also be a 2,035-square-foot community room that can be reserved for celebrations, meetings, birthdays, and other events.

“We’re thrilled to bring Seafood City to Chandler Fashion Center,” Jen Brigham, Vice President of Leasing at Macerich, said in a statement. “This remarkable supermarket will appeal not only to the Filipino American community but to anyone who seeks outstanding food and an exhilarating variety. With Seafood City joining Round1, we’re transforming former big box spaces into fresh, exciting experiences that will resonate with the community.”
