Someburros, the longtime Phoenix-based Mexican chain, is preparing to open its newest location in San Tan Valley at 440 E. Combs Road.

The company’s 16th Valley location recently had a soft opening earlier this month, but it is planning to have an official grand opening on June 15, according to AZ Central. The new Someburros, located at the corner of Gantzel and Combs Roads, will have plenty of fanfare for its anticipated grand opening. Customers can expect live mariachi, raffles, and the presence of its mascot, the donkey “Nacho.” Bella Larini will be the manager of the new location.

This is an impressive achievement for Someburros, considering the company opened its first location in Tempe in 1986. Founder Nana Isabel and her husband, Eusevio Vasquez, along with his son George and his wife Mary, quickly captured the hearts of Arizonans when they started offering authentic Sonoran recipes at the corner of Mill Avenue and Baseline Road. Today, the company serves all parts of Phoenix with over a dozen locations, all offering a variety of Sonoran and Mexican classic dishes, such as traditional burritos, which can be ordered with Sonoran-style fillings.

“Someburros is more than just a restaurant; it’s a home away from home, where people come together to share family meals, celebrate milestones, and create lasting memories,” Tim Vasquez, president and owner of Someburros, said in a news release. “San Tan Valley’s commitment to its residents is exceptional, and we can’t wait to share my family’s well-loved recipes with the community.”
