Someburros Opening in Surprise

The locally-grown Mexican chain is moving into the Sycamore Farms development, a 20-acre center under construction

The City of Surprise shared the news on its Instagram page as part of its new social media campaign to share the area’s ongoing growth and development: “We’re thrilled to announce Someburros Authentic Mexican Food is coming soon to Surprise at the southeast corner of Loop 303 and Cactus Road!” Azcentral reports that Someburros is moving into the Sycamore Farms development, a 20-acre center under construction. In addition to Someburros, tenants include McDonald’s, OneAZ Credit Union, EOS Fitness and Fry’s Marketplace.

Run by owner Tim Vazquez, Someburros is in expansion mode. In June 2025, WhatNow Phoenix announced that a restaurant in Lake Pleasant in the works. The locally, owned Mexican chain also opened a spot at Chase Field for the 2025 Arizona Diamondbacks season.

A favorite since 1986, Someburros is known for its Mexican favorites such as tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. The restaurant also serves combo meals, breakfast burritos, and a kids’ menu. The restaurant also offers authentic Mexican dishes like a red beef tamale made with house made masa and machaca, and carne asada with rice, refried beans, and a flour tortilla. The restaurant retains its popularity for its food, friendly service, and value: most meals are under ten dollars, making Someburros a family-friendly place to dine.
