Spitz Mediterranean Street Food is about to make its Arizona debut. Named for the classic vertical method of broiling proteins that is popular among Mediterranean-style food carts found on the streets of Europe, Spitz serves up made-from-scratch Mediterranean, Greek and American favorites.

Foodies of all ages can’t get enough of Spitz’s Doner Wraps, Fries, and what they call “Doquitos,” a Mediterranean-style taquito filled with zesty feta, onion, and aioli and wrapped in lavash bread. Spitz also has a full bar with cocktails, wine, and beer.

The restaurant recently applied for its liquor license at a space in north Phoenix’s Desert Ridge Marketplace shopping center. According to public records, construction on the space is slated to begin in September, which suggests that Spitz will be ready to open in Q1 of 2023, if not by the end of the year.

What Now Phoenix has reached out to representatives for Spitz Mediterranean Street Food for comment. We will post an update if we gain more information. Until then, check out their website to see what’s in store.
