Sweet Republic, an Arizona-based chain of artisan ice cream shops with two retail locations and several retail outlets, is getting ready to open a new location in Old Town Scottsdale at 3712 N Scottsdale Road, Site #105.

The company, owned and operated by Helen Yung and Jan Wichayanuparp, will open its fourth location in the former home of Tom’s Incredible Ice Cream, according to AZ Central. Wichayanuparp tells What Now Phoenix that they expect to open this location sometime next month, aiming for March 1. Those who don’t want to wait until then can visit Sweet Republic at Tempe, Scottsdale, and Phoenix, offering artisan ice cream made with milk and cream sourced from independent Arizona dairy farms.

This is a massive achievement for the award-winning ice cream shop, which started in 2008. Sweet Republic handcrafts its artisan ice cream in small batches with unwavering dedication. Because the company takes pride in using only the best ingredients, the sweet shop has gained local awards and national recognition, with a mention in Bon Appetit’s Top 10 Best Ice Cream Shops and Alton Brown’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate: Ice Creamy! on Food Network. Some of their best flavors include Salted Butter Caramel Swirl and the invigorating Basil Lime sorbet. If that wasn’t enough, the company is dedicated to quality and is committed to environmental responsibility. These artisan treats are best enjoyed with ice cream sticks made from sustainably harvested birch wood from Maine. The company is ready to bring these quality desserts to Old Town Scottsdale.

“Since way in 2008, we’ve been the ice cream rebels of Phoenix, shaking up the scene with our artisanal, small-batch creations made from the freshest, all-natural local goodies and Arizona dairy,” according to the company’s website. “With three iconic locations in Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Tempe, we’ve become the ultimate destination for ice cream lovers across the valley and nationwide. Our commitment to craft and quality has earned us numerous awards. Each spoonful of Sweet Republic ice cream is like a dance party for your taste buds, celebrating local ingredients and seasonal flavors in every scoop.”
