The Perch, a local brewery and restaurant known for its craft beer and exotic bird aviary, is getting ready to open a new location in Queen Creek at Munoz Street between Old Ellsworth Road and Ellsworth Loop.
The company’s third location officially broke ground on September 3, during a ceremony attended by the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce, Vice Mayor Leah Martineau, and members of the Queen Creek Town Council, according to the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce. Owners Rebecca and Ken Lavenue were also present to mark the occasion. While an exact opening date has not been confirmed, the first phase of construction is expected to be completed in four months. Guests can expect a large multi-use venue featuring a brewery, restaurant, and signature rooftop patio.
The new Queen Creek location will span nearly four acres and include a three-story, 28,000-square-foot facility with over 15,000 square feet of patio space. The rooftop patio alone will account for 8,000 square feet and will feature a converted city bus functioning as a food truck. Additional plans include event spaces, retail buildings, three stages for live music, and an aviary that will house exotic rescue birds on-site.
“On behalf of the Mayor and Council, we would like to welcome you to Queen Creek,” said Jennifer Lindley, Downtown Development Manager for the Town of Queen Creek. “This is a huge win for us, and it speaks volumes about the Town Council’s investment in the roadways. We are very excited to welcome them here.”
The Perch first opened in downtown Chandler in 2014 and launched its second location in Gilbert in December 2023. What Now Phoenix first reported on the Queen Creek expansion in late 2023 as part of the brewery’s broader East Valley growth strategy. This location is part of the town’s larger downtown redevelopment initiative, which also includes new bars, restaurants, and retail concepts.
Menu details have not been finalized, but the Queen Creek venue is expected to offer The Perch’s signature elevated bar food alongside house-brewed beers like Batch 28 Blonde, Reynolds’ Irish Red, and Bird Café. The new location is also projected to create at least 80 jobs by fall 2026.
“We are so excited and appreciative of the investment by Rebecca and Ken Lavenue for The Perch,” said Jeff Brown, Queen Creek Town Council Member. “Jenn mentioned the road improvements we did and the different kinds of lighting features to establish a sense of place. This is true: if you build it, they will come. There is such much going on in the Town of Queen Creek, and we value our small business owners.”
