The Rusty Buckle Saloon, a lively country-themed venue located in Apache Junction, is getting ready to open a new location in Queen Creek at the northwest corner of Ocotillo Road and Ellsworth.
The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Oscar’s Market, which has been closed for nearly two decades, on the northwest corner of Ocotillo Road and Ellsworth. Owner Mike Myers says in an announcement that “We’re excited to announce our latest acquisition and participation in Downtown Queen Creek’s revitalization, bringing a premier entertainment destination and restaurant to the area, with remodeling set to begin.” It’s unclear when this new location of The Rusty Buckle Saloon will open, but customers can expect a range of Southern comfort foods, including burgers, sandwiches, chicken-fried steak, and fish and chips.
Chef Mark Coakley leads the culinary team at Rusty Buckle Saloon, offering a menu that blends Southern comfort with regional flavors. Highlights include the Dutchman’s Gold Lager, a local brew that pairs well with the food offerings. The saloon also features a variety of appetizers, salads, and entrees, catering to diverse palates. Signature items include the Superstition Nachos and the Rusty Chili Bowl. All dishes are made in-house using a scratch kitchen approach.
The northwest corner of Ocotillo and Ellsworth is an excellent location for the new Rusty Buckle because it’s right in the middle of a fast-growing area. It’s part of a new development called The Switchyard, which includes luxury apartments, shops, and office space. Thousands of cars pass by every day, so it gets a lot of traffic and visibility. The area is also close to major employers, such as the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and tech companies, which means a steady flow of potential customers. With more people moving in and new businesses opening up, it’s a prime location to set up a restaurant.
