The Spot in Avondale is coming soon to the West Valley this spring. The incoming establishment recently applied for its ABC license with the state to serve alcoholic beverages at 214 E. Western Ave. next to The Potter’s House Christian Center in Avondale.
Sarah Schillaci, a partner in the venture, told What Now Phoenix this week that the space has been beautifully renovated. There will be a cafe open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. serving coffees, teas, breakfast, and other Chicago-inspired cuisine on the menu.
The 2,800 square-foot restaurant space features indoor dining for around 100 seats, plus outdoor dining on a front and back patio. After 2 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, The Spot will act as a lounge hosting community events such as poetry slams, open mics and more.
At this stage, The Spot in Avondale is finalizing finishing touches on aspects such as decor and menu items. Keep an eye out because The Spot’s opening seems to be right around the corner.
Follow @thespotinavondale on Instagram and expect an announcement around mid-May.
