A brand-new Vietnamese restaurant, Viet Table Vietnamese Kitchen and Bar, is set to debut in Downtown Buckeye at 801 E. Monroe Avenue.
The new concept will be taking over the former home of Millstone Cafe, according to a recent liquor license application. This longtime neighborhood eatery operated for nearly two decades before closing last year. Owner Ha Nguyen tells What Now Phoenix that they hope to open Viet Table in either September or October 2025. Located across from Argento’s Pizza & Wings, the area is gradually becoming a focal point for downtown revitalization.
Viet Table plans to bring authentic Vietnamese flavors with a modern flair, alongside a full-service bar, adding to the evolving culinary landscape of downtown Buckeye. Buckeye’s city leadership continues to focus on developing a walkable, organically grown downtown area. The arrival of Viet Table contributes to this ongoing transformation.
Recent openings, such as Monroe’s Kitchen, known for its Italian-inspired menu, have helped build momentum in downtown Buckeye’s growing food scene. The area is starting to attract a wider variety of restaurants, and locals are taking notice. There is clearly a growing appetite for more diverse dining options, and new spots are being welcomed with plenty of excitement.
That makes it a great time and place for Viet Table to make its debut. The restaurant will be right in the middle of Buckeye’s downtown revitalization efforts, in a walkable area that is starting to draw more foot traffic and local buzz. The former Millstone Cafe building brings a touch of historic charm to the space, providing Viet Table with a unique setting for its fresh new concept. More details about the menu and interior are expected as the opening day gets closer.
