Divine Blow Drys is scheduled to open September 11 in Queen Creek. The space will offer blowouts in a small, personalized setting created by licensed cosmetologist Christine Byrd. The salon will open with one chair. Its exact address has not yet been announced.
Byrd has worked in the beauty industry for more than 15 years. She began her career at a blow-dry bar, where she developed an interest in the blowout experience while also building her skills in bridal hair and makeup.
After relocating to Oahu, Byrd helped open another blow-dry salon. She later returned to Washington and expanded DivineTouch Bridal Artistry, her on-site bridal hair and makeup company. A recent move to Arizona inspired her to return to working behind the chair.
“I wanted to create a boutique blow dry experience that feels a little more like a spa appointment: complete relaxation, beautiful hair, and a little time to yourself,” Byrd wrote on the salon’s website.
Divine Blow Drys will offer four signature finishes. Desert Breeze is a classic round-brush blowout; Sunset features soft waves; Mirage offers a full-bodied, bombshell-style finish; and Saguaro is designed for smooth, sleek hair.
Each appointment will include shampoo, conditioner, a scalp massage, a blow-dry, the client’s selected finish, and a complimentary beverage. Additional services will include deep conditioning treatments, extended scalp massages, and blowouts for guests with extensions.
Byrd is also developing The Sonoran Club, a monthly membership program expected to include preferred pricing and exclusive benefits for clients who want to make blowouts part of their routine. Membership details have not yet been released.
