Ridgefield Wine and Bottle Shop will soon open its doors in Downtown Ridgefield at 112 N Main Ave, confirmed by its owner Mandy Nash.

“My goal is to be able to open in the fall of this year, prior to the holiday season,” Nash told What Now Portland.

“My overarching mission is multi-fold: it’s a celebration of female winemakers and a championing of local offerings, as well as a discovery of uniquely curated, hand-selected wines that aren’t readily found in standard grocery stores.”

The bottle shop, though compact, will be a treasure trove for wine enthusiasts to peruse and collect. However, it’s not just about picking up a bottle; the primary focus is on creating an experience where patrons can savor a flight or a glass in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Adding an artistic touch to the ambiance, Ridgefield Wine and Bottle Shop plans to feature rotating art exhibits spotlighting local artists.

The endeavor is a female-owned and operated shop that brings Mandy’s passion for wine to the forefront. The shop aims to be more than a business; it’s a platform to share knowledge, foster a sense of community, and provide a haven where visitors are treated as VIPs. The space will exude warmth, coziness, and an inviting atmosphere that feels like an extension of one’s own home.

With a WSet Level 3 wine certification under Nash’s belt, she will bring both the expertise and a desire to bring a diverse range of wines from around the world to the local community. Additionally, Nash is a published author who penned a user-friendly, entry-level book on wine appreciation titled Merlot and Brussel Sprouts.

This self-published work not only covers the basics of wine for an entry-level connoisseur but also offers exclusively plant-based recipes that perfectly complement the wine experience. The recipes listed in the book were also created by Mandy.
