A new Vietnamese sandwich shop, Baguette Bros, is bringing bánh mì to Tualatin, first reported by Bridgetown Bites. The restaurant is opening in a small shopping plaza on 7028 SW Nyberg St., occupying a space that formerly housed El Sol De Mexico.

A bánh mì is built upon an airy French baguette with a crispy crust, stuffed with savory ingredients like grilled pork or, more traditionally, pork liver pâté. The savory ingredients are balanced out by pickled daikon and carrots, and garnished with cilantro and fresh jalapeños. Baguette Bros’ menu offers a vareity of bánh mì, like their lemongrass pork and the Baguette Bros special sandwich.

“We are most excited to bring new flavors to the area and the opportunity to serve the Tualatin community and surrounding area. In addition, we are excited to build a community at Baguette Bros and hope to become a staple in the area,” Baguette Bros wrote to What Now Portland in an email.

Though the restaurant hopes to introduce a new cuisine to the neighborhood, they’ll also have some cafe classics like ham and cheese sandwiches and croissants. They’ll also sell a few drinks like Vietnamese coffee and boba.
