The wine bar that has been in the Lake Oswego area for four years is moving into the city.
It was reported by Lake Oswego Review that Beso Bar & Bottle, at 148 B Avenue, is closing on Oct. 25 and will be relocating to Portland. The wine bar is known for both sips and small bites. An opening date, as well as the new address, have not yet been announced.
The wine bar opened in September 2021 and has developed a local following since then. Local wines are sold at the location, including bottles from Shiba Wichern Cellars. In a recent Facebook post, owner Vanessa Harris explains that while she has grown to love the space, she knew it would not be the permanent home of Beso Bar & Bottle.
“We exhausted our options to move to a space in the Lake Oswego area, so we are going to Portland,” says the post. She thanked loyal customers of Beso for the support the last few years.
The small bites offered at the Lake Oswego location include oysters for happy hour, house-made tortillas and salads. The menu changes by season, and it is not confirmed if new items will debut along with the new location.
Until the closure on Oct. 25, Beso Bar & Bottle is offering a 30% off sale on all wine. This is part of the announcement post of the closure, and Harris says the address will be “publicized soon.”
What Now Portland has reached out to Harris and is awaiting comment.
