“Bluto’s Beaverton had a fire and thankfully no one was hurt,” said an Instagram post published by “wood-fired, Greek-inspired” restaurant Bluto’s on February 15. “Too soon to tell how long it will take to get up and running but we will keep you posted. In the meantime our SE Belmont spot is here for you.”

Bluto’s Beaverton originally hoped to reopen after only several weeks, Kurt Huffman, Managing Partner of ChefStable Group, told What Now on Friday. But insurance and other delays have resulted in a pushback of the expected opening date.

“We didn’t have a green light to start until a few weeks ago, that’s how long it took,” Huffman said.

The optimistic best-case-scenario for reopening is mid-June—but rest assured, repairs are now actively in progress.

Meanwhile, Bluto’s fans have been supporting the brand (and getting their Bluto’s fix) at the Portland Bluto’s, located at 2838 SE Belmont St.

“We’ve been very busy at the Belmont Street location. We’ve also had a presence at the Beaverton Farmers Market since we shut down.”
