Fans of the famous Fallout video game are in for an experience that brings the virtual world to life.
Bridgetown Bites reported on the new Vault 13 Espresso coffee shop preparing to open in Tigard this year. This is going in the former Creekside Brewing and Tap Room location at 8840 SW Hall Road. Right now, construction is happening in the space to prepare for opening.
The shop is being called “Vault 13” as the Fallout video game took place inside vaults for characters to hide from nuclear “fallout.” The inside space will have yellow chairs and blue tables, going along with the game’s theme. The drinks are expected to be signature coffees, with names themed to Fallout.
“Best caffeine dealer in the wasteland,” says the description on their Instagram page. One of the recent coffees advertised was a “snicker doodle latte.” The full menu has not been put on their website.
The new coffee shop is technically in Tigard but is also within Portland city lines. It is going in right next to Jimmy Johns, where Creekside Brewing closed. It was reported last year that the brewery closed after Black Friday.
Now the espresso roaster is up and running for future brews, per a recent Instagram post. Construction has been underway since spring, and future updates can be found on their Instagram or website.
